Abstinence For Teens (99682)R
Spanish (99936)R
For presenting to teens ages 13-17
At the right time, with the right person, sex can be a wonderful experience. But having sex now can get in the way of a teen's relationship, goals, and even health. Waiting to have sex can help teens become the people they want to be.
This engaging presentation can help teens learn about the benefits of abstinence. They'll learn what abstinence is and how they don't have to have sex to show affection; enjoy someone's company; or feel cared for, valued, and loved. They'll learn about the risks associated with sex, including STDs and pregnancy; how peers and the media can place pressure on them to have sex; and how a clear understanding of their values can help them make healthy decisions about their future.
This presentation will let you quickly and easily educate teens about:
- negative outcomes of sex and benefits of abstinence
- pressure from peers, media, and society
- setting values, anticipating problems, and ways to refuse advances
- ways to create healthy relationships with friends and others.
